Humboldt Lacrosse continues to stockpile talent in the offseason, with two new players — brothers Keith and Ethan Wood — signing letters of intent just before the Thanksgiving weekend, the team announced.
“I am very excited about adding Ethan and Keith to our Humboldt lacrosse family. Both boys have very dynamic styles of play and have great lax IQs. Adding them instantly makes our team better,” head coach Jacob Hluboky said.
A three-time team captain for South Kitsap High, Ethan was also a two-time all-conference long pole defender. Both brothers also played club ball for South Sound Lacrosse, the Seattle Starz and Yeti lacrosse.
“I’m a fun guy and a leader on the field,” Ethan said, who described his hobbies as playing basketball and “scootering.” Brother Keith says he enjoys playing video games.
“I’m quiet and friendly,” Keith said, “but determined on the field.”
Originally from Port Orchard, Washington, the brothers will rejoin former Yeti Lacrosse teammate Kaidon Rivers, who signed with Humboldt earlier in the month.
“Hopefully we can have some chemistry before we even start the season,” Hluboky said.
