We’re excited to welcome Carson DeGarmo, a freshman goalie from Napa, to the team! Carson, who played all four years in high school, chose Humboldt for its wildlife major and the area’s outdoor opportunities. He’s motivated by the chance to stay active, have fun, and help lacrosse grow on campus.
When he’s not stopping shots, Carson enjoys hiking, working out, and spending time outdoors. For him, a successful season means making it to playoffs and building a stronger lacrosse community. If given the chance, he’d share lunch with his grandma Lois, someone close to his heart. With his positive attitude and passion for the sport, Carson is ready to make an impact in his first season at Humboldt.

Why did you choose Humboldt?
I chose Humboldt because of the major and the opportunities that come with it, as well as the area.
What is your main motivation for playing lacrosse?
My motivation for lacrosse is to go out there and have fun and be athletic to the best of my capabilities.
What would a successful season of lacrosse be for you?
A successful season to me in lacrosse would being able to get the sport to grow more on the campus and making it to playoffs.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to hike, be outdoors in general, and working out.

What do you enjoy most about lacrosse?
What I enjoy the most about lacrosse is the community it has and the mentors and friends I have made along the way.
