Kaidon Rivers signs letter of intent with Humboldt Lacrosse

The Humboldt Lacrosse coaching staff continues to add experienced new players in the off-season, signing incoming freshman Kaidon Rivers this Tuesday, the team announced.

“We are thrilled to have Kaidon join our Humboldt lacrosse family,” head coach Jacob Hluboky said. “With his speed and grit, we feel that he will be able to make a positive impact for us right away.”

Hailing from Bremerton, Washington, Rivers played wide receiver and defensive back in football for his high school and club lacrosse with the Kitsap Yetis.

“I have always wanted to attend college in California and this is the perfect opportunity for me,” Rivers said. “The nature scenery will feel as if I am still at home in the Northwest and I also have a lot of my family in California.”

The 5-foot-10 middie/attack listed his interests as “church, skateboarding, basketball, football” and “honestly anything that will keep me active.”

“I am a leader, not a follower. I am a people person,” Rivers said. “I am very competitive and I like to surround myself with people who have the same mindset.”
