Logan Salcuni named to Humboldt Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2022

Logan Salcuni was named to the Humboldt Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Salcuni switched from defense to midfield his senior year and had a season for the ages in 2019.

Three-time all-West Coast Lacrosse League defender and midfielder Logan Salcuni was named to the Humboldt Lacrosse team after the 2022 Alumni Game.

Salcuni, who played from 2016-2019, was an obvious choice to be elected into the Hall after completing an incredible career with Humboldt Lacrosse that saw the one-time long pole defender switching his senior year to midfield and dominating at his new position.

“I don’t have many words, but I appreciated the opportunity to play for the Hogs. I enjoyed every minute of it and I’m glad I’m here, joining these men with this honor,” Salcuni said at the post-game celebration at Arcata Veterans Hall.

In a season for the ages, Logan put the team on his back in 2019, and dragged them into the playoffs. By year’s end, the 6-foot-2 middie from Tamalpais led the team in goals, ground balls, face-offs and points overall. In the Hogs’ opening-round playoff loss, Logan scored three goals and an assist, besides being the team’s main face-off man.

Salcuni was named to the Hall after a three-year gap, but was elected by one of the most legendary Hall of Fame committees of all time, including team Founders James Kircher and John Mahoney; and two of three Humboldt’s all-American players with Dan Balok and Cole Alyward in attendance.
